Overhead crane trolley rail gnawing refers to a phenomenon in which the wheel flange of the overhead crane trolley contacts the side of the rail, causing friction and wear during operation. The one-sided theoretical gap between the wheel flange and the side of the track can generally be set at 5-15mm. As long as the horizontal offset of the wheel is greater than this value during the operation of the crane trolley, rail gnawing will occur, which is the boundary condition of rail gnawing. When the rail gnawing is not serious, although the crane can continue to be used, the friction between the wheel flange and the rail will increase, which will affect the service life of some components and cause economic losses to the user. For large-span bridge cranes, due to factors such as manufacturing, trolleys are prone to rail gnawing accidents.
In view of the rail gnawing problem of the bridge crane trolley, the problem should be solved according to the cause.
One is to correct the deformed bridge frame to correct the gnawing phenomenon. The other is to check whether the wheel set of the trolley has excessive diameter deviation and serious wear and tear of the wheel and replace it in time. The other is for the bridge type. The trolley drive structure of the crane is adjusted, and the trolley track is adjusted until the problem is solved.
Rail gnawing by the overhead crane trolley is a serious problem, which may cause the trolley to climb or derail. When it is found that the trolley is gnawing the track, it must be solved in time.
