On May 24, 2023, the Business Office of the Embassy in Jamaica accompanied Ambassador Chen Daojiang to attend the 10th anniversary thank-you and award ceremony of Jamaica Customs. Ms. Wilma Walker, Director of Jamaica Customs, presented the "Human Capital Development" trophy to Ambassador Chen.
Ambassador Chen warmly congratulated Jamaica Customs on its 10th anniversary and thanked them for their high recognition and strong support for China's human resource development cooperation project in Jamaica. He expressed that he will continue to deepen exchanges and cooperation with Jamaica Customs, further facilitate the exchange of goods and personnel between the two countries, continuously enhance friendship between the two peoples, and make new contributions to the consolidation and development of China Jamaica strategic partnership.
Jamaica Customs highly praises the human resource development project carried out by the Chinese government in Jamaica, which has benefited over a hundred customs personnel and provided technical support for the intelligent and digital construction of Jamaica Customs. Jamaica Customs will continue to strengthen human capital cooperation with China under the "the Belt and Road" cooperation framework, and consolidate the foundation of people to people connectivity.
