Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, الإمارات العربية المتحدة Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, approved the design mockup for the vertical landing station for Dubai's flying taxis at the World Government Summit. The sites will be operational within three years.
Mattar Al Tayer, Director General and Chairman of the Executive Board of the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA), said, “The initial vertistop network will connect four main areas of Dubai: Downtown Dubai (Burj Khalifa area), Dubai Marina, Dubai International Airport and Palm Jumeirah."
The first air taxi vertistop will be located near Dubai International Airport.
The vertiport includes four flying taxi platforms and two landing areas, which will be connected to Dubai's metro station via air-conditioned bridges.
