Egyptian business circles are optimistic about the prospect of economic and trade cooperation between Egypt and China

The China-مصر Entrepreneurs Symposium was held in Cairo a few days ago. Participants from the Egyptian side are optimistic about the prospects of economic and trade cooperation between the two countries, and look forward to China's optimization and adjustment of epidemic prevention and control measures to bring new opportunities for the two sides to strengthen exchanges in various fields.

Husam Haiba, CEO of the Egyptian General Administration of Investment and Free Zones, spoke positively of Chinese companies' deep cultivation of the Egyptian market, extensive participation in construction in various fields, and important contributions to promoting Egypt's economic and social development. He said that Egypt looks forward to further strengthening cooperation with China and attracting more Chinese investment, and will further improve the investment environment through measures such as revising the investment law, simplifying investment procedures, and speeding up the approval process.

Ayman Kamel, Assistant Minister of Asian Affairs of the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, said that the political mutual trust between Egypt and China has been continuously consolidated, laying a solid foundation for practical cooperation in various fields such as economy and trade between the two sides. The Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs will continue to play an active coordinating role and provide more support and convenience for Egypt-China economic, trade and investment cooperation.

Manzarawi, secretary-general of the Egyptian Entrepreneurs Association, said that China's optimization and adjustment of epidemic prevention and control measures has provided a new opportunity for Egypt and China to strengthen economic, trade and investment cooperation and exchanges. Under the new situation, Egypt is eagerly looking forward to strengthening exchanges and mutual visits with Chinese enterprises and business associations, and looking forward to more Chinese investment.

Chinese Ambassador to Egypt Liao Liqiang said in his keynote speech that the essence of China-Egypt economic and trade cooperation is mutual benefit and win-win results. Nine Projects” and the “Eight Common Actions” of the China-Arab States Summit to strengthen communication and docking.

The seminar was hosted by the Egyptian Entrepreneurs Association, and nearly 130 representatives from Chinese and Egyptian enterprises, financial institutions, trade and investment promotion agencies, and news media participated.
