What are different classifications for electric overhead travelling cranes?

Electric overhead travelling cranes are used to transport materials and install and maintain equipment in fixed spans such as factories, power stations, warehouses, and stockyards. According to the requirements of use, the extraction device can be divided into the following types.

1. Hook overhead crane - used to carry items;

2. Grab overhead crane - used for handling bulk materials;

3. Electromagnetic overhead crane - handling ferrous metal objects;

4. Grab hook overhead crane - handling pieces or bulk materials, one machine can be used for two purposes, and only one picking device can be used for each working cycle;

5. Electromagnetic Hook Overhead Crane - It can be used for two purposes in one machine for handling finished items or sucking and transporting ferrous metal materials;

6. Grab electromagnetic overhead crane - handling bulk materials or sucking and transporting ferrous metal materials, it can be used for two purposes;

7. Grab electromagnetic hook overhead crane - one machine can be used for three purposes, handling, grabbing, sucking and hoisting various materials, and only one fetching device can be used at a time;

8. Explosion-proof overhead cranes - used to handle and install items in easy and explosive environments, according to the four explosion-proof grades I, IIA, IIB, and IIC;

9. Insulated overhead cranes - handling items in a live environment, such as electrolytic plating workshops;

10. Double trolley overhead crane - there are two trolleys on one crane, which can be used at the same time or separately;

11. Driver's cab mobile overhead crane - In order to facilitate the accurate operation of the driver, the crane cab moves with the trolley or by itself.

There are many classifications of overhead cranes:
1) According to the structure: such as single main beam overhead crane, double main beam overhead crane, multi main beam overhead crane, double trolley overhead crane, multi trolley overhead crane, etc.
2) According to the pick-up device: such as hook overhead crane, grab bucket overhead crane, electromagnetic overhead crane, container overhead crane, etc.
3) According to the purpose: such as general overhead cranes, metallurgical overhead cranes, explosion-proof overhead cranes and so on.
