How to wind the wire rope of bridge crane

The wire rope used on the bridge crane is generally used on a hoist or electric hoist, as a part of the lifting mechanism, so that the heavy objects can be raised and lowered. The editor briefly introduces how to wind the wire rope of the under-bridge crane.

1.  The winding of the wire rope of the bridge crane can be carried out according to the instructions.
2.  To wind the wire rope on the reel of the bridge crane, first insert a steel pipe or round steel into the central circular hole of the wire rope reel and try to erect it so that the wire rope reel can rotate safely. Then cut the end of the wire rope neatly and tie it with tape so that it is not loose, then insert the end of the wire rope into the reel at the fixed position of the wire rope (fixed according to the original design) and fix it, and slowly turn the reel in the direction of the fixed end. The steel wire rope is sufficient, mainly arranged neatly. The length of the wire rope should be calculated in advance. When the hook pulley block is fully worn and the hook falls to the ground (or the lowest position), it is generally required that the wire rope on the drum is wound no less than 3 times.
3.  For the threading and winding of the pulley block, the wire rope that comes down from the reel, that is, the "fast rope", first passes through the hook pulley block. Generally, it starts with the pulley on the opposite side of the fixed end of the wire rope and winds it smoothly. The end of the rope must be secured at the end.
4.  After a comprehensive inspection without any problems, start the lifting mechanism, and lift and descend several times in the whole process. If the hook pulley group has self-rotation phenomenon, remove the rope end and twist it a few times in the opposite direction of the hook pulley group rotation, and re-fix the rope end. Carry out a trial run with load after the test run is normal.

After the wire rope is wound, it must be ensured that the idling is normal before it can be operated with a load.
