Safety Operating Regulations for Cantilever Cranes
Cantilever cranes, also known as jib cranes, are commonly used in the lifting of heavy objects in factories, mines, workshops, production lines, installation lines, docks and other places. It has the advantages of reasonable layout, simple assembly, convenient operation, turning maneuverability, and large working space. It is an energy-saving and efficient material lifting configuration. Generally, the lifting weight is in the range of 125Kg-5000Kg.
The editor of our factory will share with you the safe operation rules of the rotary/cantilever crane:
- The operator of the cantilever crane should check the switch button and wire rope limit before use for faults. If there is any problem, it must be repaired in time before it can be used. After use, the power switch must be turned off before leaving.
- Concentrate when lifting the workpiece, put your hands on the operating switch, so as to brake at any time, and do not chat or eat while lifting, so as to avoid danger.
- When hoisting any workpiece, be sure to try the hoist. The hook should be vertical. If it is found to be unbalanced, adjust the hook in time. Do not lift it diagonally. Re-try the hoist to keep the workpiece stable before hoisting.
- Over-load lifting is not allowed, and lifting any workpiece is not allowed to exceed the rated lifting weight, otherwise, heavier punishment will be imposed according to the violation of operating regulations.
- When lifting the workpiece, it is not allowed to be too high from the ground. It should be about half a person's height. If there is an object over it, be careful not to collide, and it is forbidden to lift it across the machine tool.
- When lifting any workpiece, you should pay attention to the operating conditions at all times, stop the lifting immediately when abnormal noise or abnormal phenomenon occurs, and report and deal with it in time. If the operation is ill, it will be severely punished in accordance with the operating procedures.
- All surprise repairs are strictly prohibited when the cantilever crane is in use.
- When not in use, the jib crane should be placed in a safe place. It is not allowed to obstruct the operation route of other lifting equipment, and it is not allowed to park at will. Otherwise, it will be punished according to the operation regulations.
Although the cantilever crane is not a special equipment at present, the operator still needs to strictly abide by the operating regulations to ensure the safe use of the equipment.
