A few days ago, a customer contacted us and wanted to order a 5-ton single-girder crane. During the communication process, we found that the customer wanted to transform this 5-ton single-girder crane to lift 7-ton heavy objects. But this does not work. We rejected the customer's idea and suggested that they order 10 tons of single beams. So why can't a 5-ton single-girder crane be used to lift a 7-ton heavy object? The single girder crane is a bridge crane with a main girder, which uses an electric hoist as a lifting mechanism. The 5-ton single-beam crane is equipped with a 5-ton electric hoist. When the crane is in production, it is designed according to the tonnage, and its force can only withstand a rated weight of 5 tons, and the maximum lifting of an object of 6.25 tons, but in actual use, it can only lift 5 tons, and the crane Now all are equipped with overload limiter. If the lifting weight exceeds 5 tons, it will give an alarm and cannot be lifted normally. If the customer voluntarily modifies it to lift a 7-ton heavy object, which has exceeded the rated load and maximum load, there will be a great danger, which may cause the main beam of the crane to bend and break, and the electric hoist is damaged.

When the customer communicated with us, he wanted to strengthen the connection between the electric hoist and the main beam. But this also does not work. The main beam, electric hoist trolley, electric hoist, drum, wire rope and other components of the 5-ton single-beam crane are all produced and assembled in accordance with the 5-ton standard. If only one part is reinforced, the overall rated load of the crane cannot be increased. And like this kind of small tonnage crane, there is no tonnage of 7 tons, generally 3, 5, 10, 16, 20 tons, and the price difference is not very large, there is no need to customize the tonnage of 7 tons.

Points for attention when choosing a 5-ton single-girder crane manufacturer:

1. It must be purchased from a designated crane manufacturer with production qualification;

2. The safety and protective equipment of the crane should be complete and perfect. And there is a product certificate.

Single girder cranes of more than 3 tons belong to special equipment and need to be submitted for inspection. If an accident is caused by the customer's improper use, it will have a great impact on itself. Therefore, we recommend that this customer purchase a 10-ton single-girder crane to avoid various hidden dangers.
