I am planning to purchase a set of 3 ton gantry cranes recently, can anyone tell me which type of I-beam I need to match? In addition, if I want to make a gantry crane with a span of 7 meters and a lifting capacity of 5 tons, what size I-beam should I use?

The larger the I-beam model, the more durable it is. The 1 ton gantry crane uses No. 16 I-beam, the 2 ton gantry crane uses No. 22 I-beam, and the 3 ton gantry crane uses No. 25 I-beam.

How much I-beam should be used to make a gantry crane with a span of 7 meters and a load of 5T: the type of I-beam should be selected: 32-45C, and the weight of I-beam per meter = 0.00785× waist thickness [height + f (leg width - Waist thickness)], this is the formula, just apply it directly, and then you can calculate it when you meet yourself
