The Forbidden City cats with different personalities talk in the world inside the red wall; The vivid Terra Cotta Warriors were lifelike under the potters of the Qin Dynasty; A pair of good friends of Mole have achieved psychological growth through mutual help... In the colorful world of children's books, interesting stories are staged. These children's books from China have attracted the attention of booksellers all over the world.

The 60th Bologna International Children's Book Fair in Italy, which lasted for 4 days, opened on the 6th, attracting more than 1400 exhibitors from 90 countries and regions, including Penguin Random House, Harper-Collins and other world-renowned publishers.

The 32-square-meter booth of China Science and Technology Publishing House is equipped with more than 100 carefully selected original books, covering children's general science popularization, traditional Chinese culture and other fields. Audrey Lorenzini, the publisher representative of Padova, Italy, came here to inquire about copyright trading information. She said that many Italians now want to understand China and learn Chinese, but local readers, especially children, have limited access to Chinese books and hope to purchase Chinese books at the book fair.

In just a few hours, many publishers, illustrators and copyright agents from Germany, the Netherlands, the United States and other countries came to the booth to discuss cooperation and read the themed Chinese children's books with great interest. Not far away, visitors also came in an endless stream at the exhibition booths of Chinese publishing institutions such as Yutian Culture Media and China Children's Press and Publication General Office. Clear and concise painting style, warm stories and unique cultural elements are all the reasons to attract them.

Bologna International Children's Book Fair, founded in 1964, is one of the most important exhibitions in the world's children's book and multimedia industry. According to Zhu Weina, a representative of Borona Exhibition (Shanghai) Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of the organizer of the Children's Book Fair in China, three works from China have won nomination awards and awards at the Children's Book Fair, "which is the best year for Chinese original works in the Bologna Best Children's Book Awards over the years".

"This sends an important signal to the world: China's original content is getting stronger and stronger." Zhu Weina said that the children's book exhibition has always attached great importance to Chinese exhibitors. The traditional impression of the outside world on China was that it was the purchaser of overseas content copyright, but now, with the improvement of its strength in original content, China's children's book is constantly moving towards the world.

At the exhibition site on the 7th, China Science and Technology Press signed a contract with publishers from Russia and Brazil to publish and distribute 10 sets of Chinese books, including "The Story of Chinese Creation", "The Adventure of the Twenty-four Solar Terms" and "China National Park", prepared and published by the press in Russian and Portuguese respectively.

"The way in which Chinese history and culture are presented in the book and the style of illustration make me and my team very excited. We are looking forward to publishing and distributing the Portuguese version as soon as possible," Carlos Eduardo Cavallero Jr., CEO of Brazil Bobo Publishing Company, told Xinhua News Agency, "Brazil has many Chinese-Portuguese bilingual schools, and many children are learning Chinese. I am sure that these books will be popular in the market."

"In the past, many Russians knew little about modern Chinese literature and children's books," said Slava Fiodorov, CEO of Irkutsk Book Publishing Company of Russia. "We now see that the interest of Russian readers in this is budding and growing."
