According to the Philippine Business World report on December 12, data from the Philippine Ministry of Budget and Management showed that the Philippine government carried out more infrastructure projects in September, with infrastructure expenditure of 99.1 billion pesos, up 39.3% year-on-year and 34.6% month-on-month.

From January to September this year, infrastructure expenditure totaled 727.7 billion pesos. The Philippine Department of Budget and Management said that infrastructure and other capital expenditure began to recover in the third quarter due to the compensatory nature of expenditure. A number of think tank scholars said that since infrastructure is still the main economic driving force, infrastructure spending next year may be the "bright spot" of the Philippine economy. The further development of agriculture and manufacturing needs the support of infrastructure construction, and good infrastructure construction will also help attract more foreign investment.
