The Secretary General of the Thai Investment Promotion Commission (BOI), Nari, led a delegation to China for a road show from April 3 to 7, and held discussions with more than 10 electric vehicle and parts production enterprises, including Changan Automobile, Geely Automobile, Jianghuai Automobile, and Jiangling Automobile. All relevant enterprises have expressed their intention to invest in Thailand and hope to use Thailand as a production base for radiation areas. BOI expects to attract 20 billion baht of investment in the electric vehicle industry in the next year. In addition, the Secretary General of BOI also met with multiple Chinese electronic and electrical manufacturers and related suppliers, among which Shanghai Electronics and Oskon are interested in investing over 12 billion baht in Thailand. The Secretary General of BOI stated that "China's electronic and electrical industry needs to find a second production base outside of China to differentiate risks and control costs, and Thailand is one of the target countries. BOI encourages industry suppliers to transfer production bases to Thailand, promoting the integration of the Sino Thai industrial chain, and China has also provided support for this

In 2022, China was the first major country to apply for preferential policies for foreign investment from Thailand, with a total of 158 application projects involving an investment amount of 77.381 billion Thai baht. The main industries are concentrated in electronics and electronics, automobiles and spare parts, chemicals, and digital technology.
