According to Thailand's Headline News on April 26th, Deputy Minister of Commerce Sney stated that in March 2023, the export value was 27.6544 billion US dollars, a decrease of 4.2%. This month, the export value fell below the expected value, but higher than the average level in five years, and reached the highest export value in 12 months. Excluding commodities such as oil, gold, and consumables, the export value increased by 0.01%, while the import value was 24.9355 billion US dollars, a decrease of 7.1%, and the import and export surplus was 2.7188 billion US dollars, This is also the first trade surplus in 12 months. Overall, the export volume in the first quarter of 2023 was 70.2801 billion US dollars, a year-on-year decrease of 4.5%; The import volume was 73.324.3 billion US dollars, a decrease of 0.5%; The trade deficit in the first quarter was 3.0442 billion US dollars. In March, the export volume of agricultural products and agricultural products increased by 4.2%, continuously increasing for two consecutive months. Among them, agricultural products increased by 1.2%, agricultural products increased by 7.1%, and the main growth product was sugar, with an increase of 73.9%.
