This year marks the 10th anniversary of the proposal of jointly building the "the Belt and Road" initiative. The "Yixin Europe" China Europe Train, which connects Yiwu, China, with Madrid, Spain, not only provides more convenience for European and global consumers to purchase Chinese goods, but also injects strong momentum into the economic recovery of the "the Belt and Road" and the countries along it.

On November 18, 2014, the first train of the "Yixin Europe" China-Europe train sent out at the West Yiwu Station in Zhejiang Province and arrived in Madrid, the capital of Spain. This 13052 km long China Europe regular railway line has become an important link between China and countries along the the Belt and Road. Compared with the traditional sea transportation, the railway freight transportation to the central and northern ports of Eurasia is faster, and the time to reach the destination port is saved by 10 to 20 days on average compared with the sea transportation; Compared with air transportation, the cost of railway transportation can be saved by 50% to 60%. After the opening of "Yixin Europe", the trade cycle between China and Europe has been significantly shortened.

Feng Xubin, head of the operator of the China-Europe train "Yiwu New Europe", said that there are more and more Spanish products in the imported goods market of Yiwu, and more and more products made in Europe. We also help our enterprises in Yiwu and Zhejiang come out, and we also help Spanish enterprises enter China.

Liao Junhua, head station reporter: Novelty, creativity, high cost performance and durability are the comments of many Spaniards on Chinese goods. In recent years, more and more European consumers have started to "overseas shopping" and online shopping from China. The increasingly convenient logistics services have played a key role.

Spanish consumer Vanessa: I often "go overseas" from China. The transportation efficiency is more and more guaranteed, and the transparency is high. I can track the transportation status of goods. I think this is very reassuring and trustworthy.

Liao Junhua, head station reporter: Yiwu is known as the "World Supermarket", while Madrid is the largest small commodity distribution center in Europe. The "warehouse area" in Madrid where I am now is also known as the "China Mall" by the local people. Many merchants from Europe, Africa and even Latin America will buy their goods here.

Melissa, a staff member of a women's clothing wholesale store, told the reporter that in recent years, with more and more Chinese goods with rich varieties and guaranteed quality arriving in Spain, Madrid has gradually become one of the main places of purchase for customers in many other countries.

Melissa, a staff member of the Madrid women's clothing wholesale store, said: We have customers from Latin America or from other places in Europe, such as France, Italy and Germany. We also have customers from Venezuela, Panama, Colombia and Argentina and other Latin American countries.

Moroccan businessman Mohammed: I bought clothes, shoes, bags and so on.

Head station reporter Liao Junhua: Where do you want to send the goods?

Mohamed, a Moroccan businessman: Morocco.

The normalized operation of China Europe regular trains not only brings real convenience to the people of China Europe and the countries along the the Belt and Road, but also injects strong momentum into the economic recovery of the countries along the Belt and Road.

Since the opening of the first train of "Yixin Europe" in 2014, Alvito has been working as the operation manager at the Abronigal freight train station in Madrid. He has witnessed the vitality brought by the "Yixin Europe" China-Europe train to the old railway station in Madrid, and has also witnessed the huge gains brought by the China-Europe train to the local people.

AlVito Garcia, the operation manager of Madrid Abronigal freight train station, said that the utilization rate and busyness of the station were not as high as they are now. We have been working here since 2014 and have been very busy, and the business volume is still rising. The line is running very smoothly. China is a huge country, and Spain can both import from China and export to China, so that everyone can benefit from it and create jobs for everyone.
