During the Krasnoyarsk Economic Forum, the heads of the Russian Ministry of Far East and Arctic Development stated that the Russian government would invest 1.6 trillion rubles (approximately US $21.8 billion) to improve the infrastructure construction of projects in the Arctic region. Currently, there are 642 national support projects in the Russian Arctic region, which are expected to create 38000 jobs, of which 11000 have been implemented, and nearly 90% of the practitioners come from the Russian Arctic region.
