We recently needed to install an LD-type 15 ton overhead crane. I learned some preparatory work before installation. For example, before installation, carefully check whether all parts of the electric hoist and walking mechanism are Deformation or local deformation of each component. I would like to know more details to ensure a smoother installation process, can someone help me sum up more considerations?

I also know that before installation, lay the bridge frame flat at the installation site, and then install the electric hoist and hang it on the lower wing of the I-beam

I made a summary for you. During the crane installation process, the following items should be paid attention to:

1. Before installation, carefully check whether all parts of the electric hoist and walking mechanism are corroded or damaged, and whether the bridge frame has overall deformation or local deformation of each component. If the mechanical parts are rusted or damaged due to careless storage during road transportation or due to long-term purchase by the user, the mechanism should be disassembled, and the parts should be cleaned in kerosene to clean the rust. Extent and nature of damage; make repairs and replacements before putting them back together.

2. Before installation, lay the bridge frame flat at the installation site, and then install the electric hoist and hang it on the lower wing of the I-beam (you can also install the bridge frame first, and then hang the electric hoist). When hanging, there should be a gap of 3 mm between the inner surface of the wheel rim of the hoist and the lower wing of the I-beam. All the nuts on the hoist should be tightened, and the cotter pins must be pinned securely. If the electric hoist is hoisted together with the bridge, Then the gourd should be firmly tied to the slightly partial part of the middle of the I-beam with a tough hemp rope (or cotton rope) with a diameter of 15-18 mm, so that it cannot move along the I-beam.

3. All kinds of tools used in the installation of cranes, such as truck cranes, etc., should be strictly inspected in advance, and can only be used when these tools are proved to be safe and reliable.

The safety factor of the steel rope used to lift the crane during installation shall not be less than 3. That is to say, if the maximum possible tension of a certain lifting steel rope is N during work, the breaking tension of the selected steel rope should not be less than 3N.

4 When hoisting the crane, use the hoisting holes of the main beam to thread the wire rope, and it is absolutely forbidden to bind the transmission part of the end beam.

5. The fixed end (joint) of the crane steel rope must be reliably connected with steel rope clips. The number of steel rope clips depends on the force, but not less than three. The included angle between the crane steel rope and the level should not be less than 45° as much as possible. .

6. The diameter of all pulleys shall not be less than 16 times the diameter of the steel rope.

7. No matter what method is used to install the crane, the lifting action should be smooth and slow. When jamming occurs during lifting, find out the cause as soon as possible and eliminate it. Do not blindly use strong pull.

8. When lifting the crane, the crane should be hoisted to a height of about 100mm above the ground, and parked for 10 to 15 minutes to observe whether all lifting mechanisms are reliable. After checking, continue to lift.

9. At the place where the crane is installed, the area for the installation work should be marked out. During the installation work, no one is allowed to enter except the commander and the installer, so as to ensure the safe and smooth progress of the installation work.
