Eight standards for compulsory scrapping of wire rope electric hoist motors

The motor is the power source of the wire rope electric hoist and the foundation of the hoist's work. It is very important for the wire rope electric hoist. However, the motor has a certain service life. How to reach the scrap standard requires mandatory scrapping. The editor of our factory introduces eight standards for mandatory scrapping of wire rope electric hoist motors.

  1.  The brake coil spring of the conical brake motor has plastic deformation or fatigue failure. When the deformation exceeds 10% of the specified value under the specified pressure, the spring should be scrapped.
  2.  The brake disc spring of the cone brake motor has plastic deformation or fatigue failure. When the deformation exceeds 10% of the specified value under the specified pressure, the disc spring should be scrapped.
  3.  When the rotor of the motor is broken or the thickness of the rotor casting pin is uneven, etc., the motor does not rotate or the load can not rotate without load, the motor rotor should be scrapped.
  4.  Due to the poor insulation performance of the motor, the stator winding enameled wire has trauma or the insulation performance between turns, phases and poles is poor, causing the stator winding to burn, the motor stator should be scrapped.
  5.  The abnormal noise of the wire rope electric hoist motor is mostly due to the motor silicon steel sheet is not compressed. If it cannot be compressed and repaired, the stator should be scrapped; if the abnormal noise is caused by poor bearing quality or broken support cage, the bearing should be scrapped.
  6.  When the slip ring or brush of the winding motor is severely worn and causes the function of the slip ring brush to fail, the slip ring or brush should be scrapped and replaced.
  7.  The borehole phenomenon of the wire rope electric hoist is mostly caused by uneven or misaligned stator and rotor gaps. The borehole phenomenon still exists after repair, and the motor should be scrapped.
  8.  If the motor of the wire rope electric hoist is hot, it often exceeds the prescribed heating standard, or the thermal protection device operates frequently, and it should be scrapped if it cannot be repaired. The temperature rise of E-class insulated motors does not exceed 115°C, and the temperature rise of F-class insulated motors does not exceed 155°C.

Wire rope electric hoists are generally used in conjunction with single-beam cranes . If the motor components used in the electric hoist meet the scrap standard and are not scrapped, it may affect the production of the enterprise and may cause certain dangerous accidents in severe cases. Therefore, companies must do a good job of regular inspections and replace parts in time.
