Causes and solutions of crane trolley skidding

The "skidding" of the lifting trolley of bridge cranes and gantry cranes usually means that one side of it moves forward than the other. Because of "skidding", the trolley will skew and gnaw the way, and it can also cause the hanging heavy objects to sway and cause accidents. Therefore, when the crane trolley slips, it is necessary to find the cause in time and eliminate the problem according to the cause to ensure the safe operation of the crane. There may be three reasons for "skidding":

(1) The driving wheel has different pressures. Because the friction generated by the wheel with small wheel pressure is small, it is not enough to make the wheel roll, so the wheel will "skid".

(2) There is oil or water on the track.

(3) The motor starts too fast.

The method of checking the skid of the trolley is generally to observe the twisting of the car body first, and then analyze the specific reasons.

If two wheels are slipping, there are two ways to check which wheel is serious:

1. Put a lead wire with the same diameter on the track, push the trolley to press the lead wire, then take the lead wire out, and measure the thickness of the two lead wire sheets with a caliper. The wheels with small wheel pressure slipped seriously.

2. The method of removing sand on the track can also be used to observe the degree of wheel slip. Remove the fine sand evenly on a track in the slippery section, drive the trolley to this place, and start back and forth several times. If it still slips, it means that the driving wheel on this track is not faulty, but another track. The wheel pressure on the driving wheel is small. The same test can be repeated.

After finding the fault, you can adjust the wheel pressure according to the reason, remove the oil or water on the track, or improve the starting method of the lifting motor. The fault can be eliminated.

Small problems with cranes, if they are not resolved in time, will often lead to major failures. When using bridge cranes and gantry cranes, companies must do a good job in crane maintenance.
