Ambassador to Jamaica Chen Daojiang Meets with Minister of Agriculture and Fisheries Charles Jr

On May 4, 2023, the Business Office of the Embassy in Jamaica accompanied Ambassador Chen Daojiang to meet with the Minister of Agriculture and Fisheries of Jamaica, Charles Jr., and the two sides had in-depth exchanges on practical cooperation between China and Jamaica in fields such as agriculture and fisheries.

Ambassador Chen stated that both China and Jamaica are developing countries and face practical needs for the development of agriculture and fisheries. The potential for cooperation between the two countries in fields such as agriculture and fisheries is enormous and has broad prospects. China appreciates the high importance that the Ivorian side attaches to promoting the transformation and upgrading of agriculture and fisheries, continuously improving people's living standards and development resilience. It is willing to further strengthen exchanges and cooperation with the Ivorian side, deepen and expand practical cooperation between the two sides under the framework of global development initiatives and other frameworks, and promote the strategic partnership between China and Jamaica to achieve more fruitful results.
