Thailand received 52 foreign applications in January with an investment of 5.1 billion baht

The Department of Development and Trade of the Ministry of Commerce of Thailand announced the statistics of foreign investment and operation in Thailand in January 2023. A total of 52 foreign investment and operation applications were received, and the top five were 14 from Japón, 6 from Singapur, 6 from the Estados Unidos, 5 from the Reino Unido and 3 in China. Among them, the highest investment amount was 3.588 billion baht in Japan, 548 million baht in China, and 410 million baht in Singapore. And 52 foreign businessmen who come to Thailand to invest and operate will bring 298 new jobs to Thailand. It is estimated that the total amount of foreign investment in Thailand will not be less than 100 billion baht throughout 2023. EEC is still the most attractive place for foreign investment. In January, 8 companies settled in EEC with a total investment of 683 million baht.
