According to the operating data of previous cranes, if the track span does not match the span of the bridge crane , rail rolling will occur during the operation of the equipment, wear wheels and tracks, and even cause frequent vibrations of the plant and generate great noise. If the elevations of the two tracks are inconsistent, the crane may not be able to walk after lifting objects.

The standard lengths of rails for cart tracks are generally 9m, 9.5m, 10m, 10.5m, 11m, 11.5m, 12m, 12.5m, and the following standards must be met during installation:

  1.  The relative elevation deviation of the two tracks is less than 10mm, measured with a level
  2.  Longitudinal inclination of track 1/1500
  3.  The height deviation of the track joint is less than 1mm, measured with a steel ruler and feeler gauge
  4.  The rail joints are misaligned to the left and right, with a deviation of <1mm, measured with a steel ruler and feeler gauge
  5.  The joints of the two parallel rails are staggered, and the opening is ≥500mm, measured with a steel tape
  6.  Track span deviation S≤10m, △S=±3mm; S>10m, △S= ± [3+0.25(S-10)]mm, maximum ≤15mm, measure the uniform height, the outer side of one side of the guide rail , The distance from the outer side of the guide rail on the other side, measured 3 times and averaged
  7.  Track joint gap is usually 1-2mm; in areas with a temperature difference of 20℃ or 4-6mm during installation in winter, use feeler gauge to measure direct head or 45° oblique joint
  8.  Torsion ≤1.5mm
  9.  Track bending deviation≤3mm
  10.  The deviation between the actual centerline of the track and the actual centerline of the beam is ≤10mm, and is less than 50% of the thickness of the beam web, measured with a steel tape
  11.  Wear of rail top and side surfaces (one side)≤3mm
  12.  When small transverse cracks occur in the track, use fish plate to connect. Generally 4-6 fish plate connecting bolts, longitudinal cracks and oblique cracks are scrapped.
