Causes and hazards of single-beam crane decoupling

LDA, LDP and other types of single-beam cranes used in workshops are special equipment for lifting heavy items. If the items are unhooked during the lifting process, it may cause more serious consequences.

1. Damage to items.

Since the heavy object is at a certain distance from the ground during lifting, the heavy object will fall off the hook when it is unhooked, fall from a high altitude to the ground, and be damaged by impact.

2. Damage to the crane.

After the heavy object is unhooked, due to the pulling force of the wire rope, the hook will often rebound and collide with the mechanical parts of the crane, causing equipment damage.

3. Damage to surrounding objects and even staff.

If the heavy object is decoupled, it is likely to damage the surrounding objects, and if there are people, it may cause casualties to the staff. This is also the reason why no one can stand under the crane in the operating regulations of the single beam crane .

Single girder cranes need to check the hook frequently

So what are the reasons for the decoupling of single beam cranes?

1. The crane hook has no anti-decoupling device

This kind of hook is very dangerous and is prone to accidents. The country has issued relevant policies to abolish this kind of hook;

2. The failure or damage of the hook anti-off hook device will also cause the hook off

After the heavy object is hung, the anti-decoupling device will automatically return to protect and prevent the wire rope from falling off the hook. If the anti-decoupling hook device is damaged, the protective effect will be lost, resulting in the occurrence of decoupling accidents;

3. Decoupling accident caused by overload

The hook is U-shaped. If the load is too large, the hook may be deformed, which will cause the heavy object to slip off the hook and cause it to be unhooked;

4. The crane hook reaches the scrap standard but is not scrapped in time

During the long-term use of the hook, due to wear and tear, the opening of the hook opening was too large. In order to save money, the company did not replace the new hook in time. During the lifting process, accidents caused unhooking;

5. Vibration and shock cause decoupling

During the operation of the single-girder crane, balanced operation is required. If it stops and moves quickly, or collides with other objects, it may also cause accidental uncoupling accidents.

In the process of using single-beam cranes, it is necessary to strictly abide by the crane operating regulations, and do a good job in the daily inspection and maintenance of the crane, and the hook must be replaced in time when it reaches the scrap standard.
