Ambassador to Algeria Li Jian Meets with the President of National Petroleum Corporation of Algeria

On May 8th, Ambassador to L'algérie Li Jian met with President Tufik Hakar of Algeria National Petroleum Company to exchange views on cooperation in relevant fields between the two countries. Chen Zhong, Commercial Counsellor of the Embassy, and Mohammed Slimani, Vice President of the company, attended the meeting.

Ambassador Li stated that China and Algeria have long been politically friendly and have close economic ties. China attaches great importance to deepening cooperation in the oil and gas industry with Algeria and is willing to expand cooperation areas with Algeria to promote new progress in related projects.

President Hakar introduced the latest situation of cooperation between Algeria National Petroleum Company and Chinese enterprises, hoping that China can further expand investment in Algeria and elevate bilateral cooperation to new heights.
