The German Blue Book: German Development Report (2022), jointly released by the German Research Center of Tongji University and the Social Science Literature Press on the 18th, pointed out that in addition to the traditional cooperation industries such as automobiles, China and Allemagne have a huge space for cooperation in the fields of green economy and digital economy, driven by climate change and the new technological revolution.
China News Agency reported that in the area of green economy, the Blue Book said that Germany is a pioneer in the field of environmental protection and climate change, and has many advanced concepts and experiences worth learning from China. Addressing climate change is the most potential cooperation issue between China and Germany.
In terms of the digital economy, the Blue Book believes that for China, the development of the digital economy is conducive to promoting the construction of a new development pattern, and has a significant impact on the transformation of traditional production methods. In the face of the impact of digital technology, Germany, which is a global leader in traditional manufacturing, has earlier promoted the development of digital technology and the digital and intelligent transformation of traditional industries from the policy level. If China and Germany can strengthen strategic dialogue on the basis of respecting their respective digital sovereignty, they will have broad cooperation space in digital technology and multilateral digital governance cooperation.
The Blue Book pointed out that, under the superposition of the current COVID-19, climate change and changes in Germany's domestic and international political and economic situation, promoting green and digital transformation will remain the two most important tasks of the new government. In addition, the new government will participate more actively in the construction of the European Research Area and build an international scientific research and innovation network.
