Crane load classification and definition

During the operation of the hoisting machinery, the size of the load that it needs to bear is an important index for the comprehensive evaluation of the safety performance of the complete machine product. At present, people divide the loads borne by hoisting machinery into the following types: basic load, additional load and special load.

Why should overhead crane be equipped with height limiter

1. Basic load

The basic load refers to the load that always or frequently acts on the crane structure, including deadweight load, lifting load, inertial horizontal load, and dynamic load effect considering the multiplication of the dynamic load factor and the corresponding static load. For some cranes that use grab buckets (bins) or electric disks to operate, the dynamic load reduction effect caused by the sudden unloading of the lifting load should be considered.

2. Additional load

Additional load refers to the non-recurring load that the crane structure receives under normal working conditions. Including the maximum wind load that acts on the structure under the working condition of the crane, the lateral force of the crane's deflection operation, and the temperature load, ice and snow load and certain process loads that are determined according to the actual situation.

3. Special load

The special load refers to the maximum load that the structure may receive when the crane is in a non-working state or the unfavorable load that the structure occasionally receives in the working state. The former is the maximum wind load and test load in the non-working state of the structure, as well as the installation load, seismic load and certain process loads that are determined according to the actual situation; the latter is the collision load received by the crane in the working state Wait.
