How to maintain the wire rope of wire rope hoist

Steel wire rope is the main lifting accessory of steel wire rope hoist. The maintenance of steel wire rope is an important measure to ensure the project progress and service life. The specific maintenance methods are as follows:

1.  The edge of the pulley for wire rope electric hoist shall be free of cracks and gaps.
2.  The steel wire rope shall not rub with other objects during movement, nor shall it be dragged obliquely with the edge of the steel edge, so as to avoid cutting the steel wire rope by the edges and corners of the steel plate, which will directly affect the service life of the steel wire rope.
3.  When using steel wire rope on high-temperature objects, thermal insulation measures must be taken, because the strength of steel wire rope will be greatly reduced after being subjected to high temperature.
4.  During the use of electric hoist, the strength of its steel wire rope must be checked frequently. Generally, a comprehensive inspection or strength test must be carried out at least six months.
5.  It is strictly prohibited to overload during use and shall not be subjected to impact force. When binding or lifting the required objects, pay attention not to make the steel wire rope directly contact with the sharp angle of the quick opening edge of the object. Wooden boards, canvas, gunny bags or other cushions shall be padded at their contact points to prevent equipment and human accidents caused by damage to the steel wire rope by the sharp edges and corners of the objects.
6.  During the use of the electric hoist, if the length is not enough, it must be connected by shackle. It is strictly prohibited to lengthen and lift the object by threading the steel wire rope through the steel wire rope head, so as to avoid the resulting shear force.
7.  After the electric hoist is used for a period of time, the steel wire rope must be lubricated. On the one hand, it can prevent the steel wire rope from rusting. On the other hand, during the use of the steel wire rope, there will be sliding friction between the steel wire and the steel wire in the same strand between each strand of sub rope, especially when the steel wire rope is subjected to bending force, this friction is more exciting, Add lubricating oil to reduce this friction.
8.  When the steel wire rope is stored, the stolen goods on the steel wire rope shall be cleaned according to the above methods, then the lubricating oil shall be marked, and then the number shall be coiled, and the steel wire rope shall be stored in a dry place. Wooden boards or sleepers shall be padded under the steel wire rope for regular inspection.
9.  During the use of the steel wire rope, pay special attention to prevent the steel wire rope from contacting with the welding wire. The steel wire rope will be damaged after electric shock, which will affect the smooth progress of operation.
10.  Pay attention to check whether there is fracture and damage and whether it is used, or replace it with a new rope to ensure safety.

How to maintain the wire rope chain block after use

1.  After each operation, first wipe the mud, dust or oil on the loose end steel wire rope, loosen the jaw, pull out the steel wire rope, wind the steel wire rope on the collection frame in sequence, wipe the full-length steel wire rope, and store the steel wire rope in a dry place to prevent rust.
2.  The hoist shall be maintained at least 4 times a year. For example, clean the parts with diesel and lubricate them with calcium base grease.
3.  When mud, cement or other dirt is poured into the movement, it can be washed with clean water and then cleaned with diesel oil; Apply calcium base grease after cleaning and drying; Finally, loosen the jaws and wipe the grease and moisture on the jaws with clean cotton yarn.
4.  When the jaw is worn and the bearing capacity is less than 80% of the rated load, the jaw shall be replaced; When the diameter of the wire rope is reduced by 10%, the wire rope shall be replaced.
