Reasons and solutions for the electric hoist motor of single beam crane not rotating

Electric hoist is a lifting device used on single-beam cranes . If maintenance and inspection work is not done well, some failures may occur. So what is the reason why the motor does not rotate after the electric hoist is started, and the heavy objects cannot be lifted? How should it be handled?

The main reasons may be the following:

1. Excessive overload: overloaded use is not allowed

2. The voltage is lower than the rated voltage

3. The electrical appliance is faulty, the wire is disconnected or the contact is poor

4. The brake wheel and the rear end cover are rusted and seized, and the brake wheel cannot be disengaged

5. Motor sweep bore

Troubleshooting method:

1. Overloading is not allowed

2. Wait for the voltage to return to normal

3. Overhaul electrical appliances and wiring

4. Remove the brake wheel and clean the rusty surface

5. Remove and replace the support ring, so that there is a uniform gap between the sub-rotor cones, each side is 0.35-0.55 mm (small motor gap is small) or send it back to the manufacturer for repair.

When using a single-girder crane, users should abide by the operating procedures, use them reasonably, and do a good job in maintenance and overhaul, which will greatly reduce the chance of failure of the hoist. It is completely no problem to use it for a few years without failure.
