Suppliers of Dutch chip manufacturing machine giant ASML are considering building factories in Southeast Asia.
The Brabant Development Agency, a Dutch public agency, represents 200 high-tech manufacturing companies located near the city of Eindhoven in the Belanda. It recently stated that officials from a dozen technology companies will visit Vietnam, Malaysia, dan Singapura next week.
Most companies are joining this trip to Southeast Asia because they are considering expanding or establishing production bases in Vietnam or Malaysia. The investment is part of a broader and long-term strategy aimed at seeking to reduce dependence on Chinese companies. Almost all of the dozens of companies participating in this trip are suppliers of Asme, some of which already have production facilities in China.
Companies participating in this Southeast Asian tour include well-known companies such as Newways, Bestronics, AAE BV, BKB Precision, HQ Group, KMWE Group, Sempro, Sioux Technologies, and VDL ETG.
