To seize the opportunity of the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (RCEP) and promote economic and trade exchanges between China and Australia, the RCEP Trade and Investment Exchange Conference - China (Fangchenggang) · Australia Special Event was held on the 25th in both online and offline formats. At the event site, 11 projects were signed with a contract amount of approximately 10.3 billion yuan, covering fields such as resources, medicine, food, and new energy vehicles.

The main venue of the event is located in Fangchenggang, Guangxi, China, and the sub venues are located in Canberra, Sydney, and Melbourne, Australia. Sui Guohua, Vice Chairman of the People's Government of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, and Deng Anyi, Consul General of the Australian Consulate General in Guangzhou, attended the event and delivered speeches at the main venue.

Sui Guohua pointed out that since 2009, China has remained Australia's largest trading partner, and the trade between Guangxi and Australia has also remained stable. Guangxi is the forefront and window of China's open cooperation with ASEAN, constantly making new breakthroughs in land sea intermodal transportation, customs clearance efficiency, port construction, and other aspects. We hope that both sides can strengthen industrial chain docking and cooperation, serve and promote Australian enterprises to establish a foothold in Guangxi, radiate the southwest and northwest markets of China, and cooperate to explore third-party markets such as ASEAN.

The official on-site promotion of Fangchenggang, Guangxi, said that Fangchenggang is the only international gateway city in China that is connected to ASEAN by sea, land and river. With Fangchenggang International Medical Open Pilot Zone, it is promoting the construction of a modern port industrial city. The local government will create a first-class business environment and fully serve the development of enterprises. We look forward to deep cooperation with Australia in areas such as advanced manufacturing, modern fishing port industry, and international logistics.

On the same day, the establishment and listing ceremony of Guangxi Liugong Machinery Co., Ltd.'s Australian subsidiary was held, and the RCEP (Australia) Enterprise Service Center of Guangxi International Chamber of Commerce was unveiled.

This exchange meeting is hosted by the Guangxi Council for the Promotion of International Trade, the People's Government of Fangchenggang City, and the Australian Trade and Investment Commission. Nearly 400 participants including the China Australian Chamber of Commerce and Australian enterprises in China, Guangxi related business associations, enterprise representatives, and experts and scholars attended the conference.
