When the buffer is subjected to collision pressure, the kinetic energy is transferred to the piston through the plug and the accelerating spring, causing it to move to the right. The original buffer working chamber is equipped with a return spring, ejector rod and oil. The movement of the piston squeezes the oil in the working chamber, so that the return spring is compressed, and at the same time, the oil is squeezed out from the annular gap between the piston and the ejector rod and enters the oil storage chamber.
When the piston starts to move, due to the large annular gap with the ejector rod, the oil is easily squeezed out; as the piston continues to move, the annular gap becomes smaller and smaller, that is, the piston resistance continues to increase. After reaching the cylindrical stage of the ejector pin, the annular gap is difficult to tell, and the resistance is stabilized at the maximum value. The process in which the buffer is compressed is a process in which the piston squeezes the oil to do work. This process consumes a lot of kinetic energy and acts as a buffer. When the work is completed, the piston is pushed to the original position by the return spring, completing a work cycle.
