Misunderstandings of using lubricating oil in single-beam cranes

Adding lubricating oil to single-beam cranes is an indispensable work for maintenance and an important part of equipment maintenance. 1. Rather than lack.

It is believed that insufficient lubrication of single-girder cranes will aggravate the wear between components, and they are desperately refueling because they are worried about insufficient oil. But in reality, ignoring that too much oil will cause the crankshaft rotation to be blocked, and there may even be abnormal conditions such as oil bubbles, deterioration, and spills, and it also causes a waste of lubricating oil.

2. It is believed that the higher the viscosity, the better.

Usually the specifications, types, viscosity and other specific parameters of lubricating oil are different, and we need to choose according to specific working conditions and component locations. If the viscosity is too high, the circulation is not good, leading to inadequate lubrication in some dead corners. The lubricant with too high viscosity will easily cause deterioration of heat dissipation, which will eventually lead to component damage and failure.

3. Follow the maintenance guidelines of the manual invariably.

Strictly follow the instructions for maintenance, often ignoring the different environmental factors of construction under different working conditions. The instructions are set for normal working conditions. In the course of our practice, we should appropriately shorten the oil change interval and select the lubricating oil grade based on the actual situation.

Parts that should be lubricated for single girder cranes:

Bearings, hook pulleys, fixed pulleys and other parts of rolling bearings, gear couplings, brakes and other movable pins of operating systems, reducer gears, wire ropes in the bearing seats of large and small wheels and drums.
