Routine inspection items using bridge cranes

Bridge crane is a kind of lifting equipment commonly used in enterprise workshops, and its safe operation guarantees the normal and safe production of enterprises. In order to ensure the safe operation of the bridge crane, some necessary safety routine inspections are required during the operation of the crane. The inspection items generally have the following points:

1. The lifting height limiter, the travel limit switch and the interlocking mechanisms are normal in performance, safe and reliable;

2. There are no obvious defects in hooks and pulleys;

3. The surface wear and corrosion of the steel wire rope is less than 40% of the diameter of the steel wire. The broken wire is less than 10% of the total wire in a lay length. There is no broken end, no obvious thinning, no core falling out, dead corner twisting, and extrusion. Deformation, annealing, burnout phenomenon;

4. The clamps, pressure plates and wedge blocks connected and fixed at the end of the steel wire rope are connected intact without looseness, the clamps are not less than 2 and the number of clamps is not less than 3;

5. The drum has no cracks, and the connection and fixing are not loose; the wall of the drum is worn less than 20% of the original wall thickness; the safety coil is not less than 2 turns, and the ratio of the diameter of the drum to the wire rope meets the requirements;

6. The brake has no cracks, looseness, and serious wear. The two sides of the brake gap are of equal size and suitable, and there is sufficient braking force. The wear of the brake band is less than 50% of the original thickness.

In the production process of an enterprise, routine safety inspections of bridge cranes help prevent personal accidents, reduce equipment failures, improve equipment operation rates, reduce equipment maintenance costs, etc., and further improve the overall production efficiency of the enterprise. Enterprises that use bridge cranes must strictly abide by the crane operating regulations and do a good job of regular inspections of cranes.
