How to check the electric hoist motor brake

After the electric hoist is powered on, start the motor to check whether the conical brake is turned on and whether the motor is running. If it does not rotate, the power supply must be cut off immediately to prevent burning the motor coil. At this time, the voltage may be 15% lower than the rated voltage, or the conical brake cannot be opened due to humidity, rust and other reasons. When the axial displacement of the main shaft of the conical rotor motor is generally 1-1.5mm, the braking effect is the best. If the sliding amount of the electric hoist is too large under the rated load, it must be adjusted.

The electric conical brake adopts the lock nut for adjustment. Rotate the lock nut counterclockwise (or clockwise) to reduce (or increase) axial movement. For each 1 / 3 turn of rotation, the corresponding adjustment value of axial movement is 0.5mm.

Adjustment method: remove the tail cover, remove four screws, rotate the nut, and tighten it properly until it is still tight, so that the conical surface of the turning brake wheel is close to the conical surface of the rear cover, then rotate the nut in the opposite direction for 2 / 3 turns, and then screw in the knock screw. The basic table shows that the axial displacement of the main shaft of Austrian motor is generally 1-1.5mm.

For the sold electric hoist, the brake shall be adjusted to the minimum axial movement, which is about 1-1.5mm. The axial movement increases with the wear of the brake. If the value is greater than 3mm, or when the braking sliding distance exceeds VL / 100mm (VL is the lifting speed), it shall be adjusted in time, otherwise the braking effect will be affected.

Inspection and adjustment of cam stopper: the cam stopper is located in the electrical control box. Loosen the mounting screw of the base plate and turn the base plate to adjust. Carefully raise and lower the hook to a certain position and check whether the stopper works for many times. The stroke position of the hook can be adjusted through the cam stopper within the allowable range. The stopper can enable the ZH series electric hoist to obtain the maximum lifting height, but more than two circles of steel wire rope must be ensured between the rope pressing plate on the reel and the rope guide.

When the electric hoist is put into use, adjust the cam stopper so that the hook does not touch the ground.

The electric hoist structure reducer adopts a three-stage fixed shaft helical gear rotating mechanism. The gear and gear shaft are made of heat-treated alloy steel. The box and cover are made of high-quality cast iron, which are tightly assembled and well sealed. The reducer is a part of itself, which is very convenient for loading and unloading.

The device can cut off the main circuit in case of emergency and is equipped with up and down travel protection fire cut-off limiter. The safe operation of the electric hoist is ensured. Electrical components have long service life and reliable use.

The electric hoist whose motor axis is parallel to the drum axis has the advantages of small height and length. Its disadvantages are large width, grouping, complex manufacturing and assembly, and large track turning radius.

How to adjust the brake of electric hoist

The brake of electric hoist is realized by the motor. Remove the tail cover, unscrew the four screws fixing the adjusting nut, use a wrench to rotate the adjusting nut clockwise to the limit position, then rotate it counterclockwise for one circle, and then install the fastening screw to adjust successfully.

Brake type of electric hoist:

  1.  The electric hoist with the motor axis perpendicular to the drum axis adopts worm gear transmission device, which has large width, heavy structure, low mechanical efficiency and difficult processing. No manufacturer has produced products of this structure type.
  2.  The electric hoist whose motor axis is parallel to the drum axis has the advantages of small height and length. Its disadvantages are large width size, grouping, complex manufacturing and assembly. The turning radius of the track is large.
  3.  The electric hoist with the motor installed in the drum has the advantages of small length and compact structure. Its main disadvantages are poor heat dissipation conditions of the motor, poor grouping, inconvenient inspection, installation and maintenance of the motor, and complex power supply device.
  4.  The electric hoist with the motor installed outside the drum has the advantages of good grouping, high degree of universality, easy to change the lifting height and convenient installation and maintenance. Its disadvantage is large length and size.
