Thailand's manufacturing confidence index rises to 43-month high in January

While Thailand's manufacturing confidence index continued to improve, it also ushered in a 43-month high. The latest manufacturing confidence index disclosed by the Thai Industrial Institute shows that the confidence index in January 2023 rose to 93.9 from 92.6 in December. Also improving was expectations for the next three months, rising to 101.1 from 99.9 in December. The driving force behind the increase in the manufacturing confidence index mainly comes from the increase in domestic consumption brought about by the recovery of inbound tourism.
