Difference between single beam crane and bridge crane

When designing the plant, his crane was LDA electric single beam crane of 10 tons, but the atlas he saw specified bridge crane and trolley, so he didn't know the difference between single beam crane and bridge crane.

In fact, single beam crane and bridge crane are different concepts under two different classification methods of cranes. Cranes can be divided into bridge cranes and gantry cranes. According to the different structural forms of main beams, they can also be divided into single beam cranes and double beam cranes.

Bridge crane can be divided into single beam and double beam. LDA electric single beam crane can also be called single beam bridge crane. In other words, the electric single beam crane is a kind of bridge crane.

The type with trolley generally refers to the double beam bridge crane. This type of crane mainly uses the winch as the lifting mechanism, and also uses the electric hoist as the lifting mechanism. The traveling trolley is located above the two main beams, and the electric hoist of the electric single beam crane is suspended on the I-steel track below the single main beam.

Generally, the lifting capacity of electric single beam crane is relatively small and is not used frequently, while the lifting capacity of double beam bridge crane can reach more than hundreds of tons and is used more frequently than single beam crane.
