Fault of pulley block of gantry crane and its treatment methods and preventive measures

In the lifting system of the gantry crane, the crane pulley block plays a very important role. It can change the direction of the tension of the steel wire rope drum, increase the tension distance and reduce the tension when lifting objects, so as to prevent overload. However, the pulley block of the crane often fails, which requires us to deal with it in time and take some effective preventive measures at the same time.

Crane pulley block failure

1.  When the material of the crane pulley is uneven, the installation is unqualified, and the contact between the rope and the pulley is poor, the rope groove of the pulley may have uneven wear. At this time, the wear amount is calculated according to the serious part, and the wear of the pulley rope groove is uneven;
2.  The wear of pulley spindle of crane reaches 3% ~ 5% of nominal diameter;
3.  If the steel wire rope is stuck, the pulley of the crane will not rotate;
4.  Due to the looseness and deflection of the steel wire rope, the crane pulley is inclined and loose;
5.  Due to overload or emergency stop when the speed is too fast, the pulley cracks or the rim breaks.

Treatment of crane pulley block fault

1.  When the wear of the groove wall of the pulley block of the crane reaches 1 / 10 of the original wall thickness, or the radial wear reaches 1 / 4 of the rope diameter, the pulley shall be replaced directly;
2.  Lubricate and repair the crane pulley;
3.  Strengthen the positioning parts on the shaft, or skip the groove of steel wire rope for maintenance or replacement.

Preventive measures for crane pulley block

1.  Check whether the material of crane pulley is uniform, whether the installation meets the requirements, and whether the contact between rope and pulley is good;
2.  Regularly check the wear of spindle and steel wire rope;
3.  Regularly check whether the positioning parts on the shaft are loose, whether the steel wire rope jumps, and install anti jump devices;
4.  Regularly check the pulley for wear.
5.  Regularly lubricate, maintain and repair the crane pulley block.
