Single beam cranes generally use hooks as lifting slings. After purchasing electric single beam cranes , some customers want to install an electromagnetic chuck . A set of lifting electromagnets includes a lifting electromagnet body, a cable reel, and a rectifier. I don’t know how to install the four major components, including the electric control cabinet and the cable connector.

Personnel and preparation tools for single-beam crane installation of lifting electromagnet :

Personnel required: 1 electrician, 1 welder;

Tools needed: electrician tools (including cable crimping tools, wire noses, etc.), 1 welding machine, welder tools, high-altitude safety belts, safety helmets, lifting electromagnets, cable reels, reel pulleys, rectifiers Control cabinet, cable connector, hoisting hoist, and equip cables according to the length of the site.

Steps for installing lifting electromagnet on single beam crane :

1. First confirm the installation position of the rectifier control cabinet and the cable reel with the on-site maintenance person;

2. Measure the distance between the single-beam crane power supply and the electromagnet rectification control cabinet, measure the distance between the rectification control cabinet and the cable reel, and estimate the length of the cable to be equipped, and hand it to the buyer to prepare the cable;

3. Lift the rectifier control cabinet to the installation position with a hoisting hoist, and fix it;

4. Install one end of the cable connector on the cable of the cable reel;

5. Install the cable drum on the drum pulley, and use the hoisting hoist to upside down the cable drum on the main beam of the single-beam crane, and fix it to the sliding trolley;

6. Connect the cables from the power supply to the electromagnet rectification control cabinet, and the rectification control cabinet to the cable drum;

7. Weld a fixed channel steel of the cable connector on the crane main hook, and fix one end of the cable connector on the channel steel;

8. Pull down the cable of the cable reel, then the cable connector on the cable reel end and the cable connector on the main hook are locked and connected;

9. Hang the lifting electromagnet to the main hook of the single-beam crane and connect the cable;

10. Check again whether the cable connection of each line is qualified. After confirming that there is no problem, you can power on the test;

11. During the power-on test, adjust the rectification control cabinet of the lifting electromagnet according to the voltage and frequency of use on site to adjust the current to the best;

12. Repeated suction and discharge for 5 times, the voltage is normal, the current is normal, and the suction and lifting capacity is up to standard, that is, the single-beam crane is installed with the lifting electromagnet successfully and can be put into production.

Precautions for installing lifting electromagnets on single beam cranes :

The installation of the lifting electromagnetic chuck can be said to be a basic operation of the equipment. During the installation process, the electromagnetic chuck will be short-circuited and the safety accident of the installer will occur. In order to avoid similar situations, the electromagnetic chuck must be installed in accordance with Process operation. Pay attention to the following points:

1. Safety belts and helmets must be worn when working at heights;

2. When confirming the installation location and arranging the cables, the power should be turned off, no live work is allowed, safety first;

3. When installing the reel pulley of the cable reel, pay attention to the tightness of the pulley to be moderate, not too tight or too loose. If it is too tight, the electric hoist of the single-beam crane cannot operate normally. If it is too loose, the fixing on both sides of the pulley will easily fall off after a long time, causing the reel to fall.

4. Pay attention to the connecting cables between the lifting electromagnet and various accessories: the cable should not be too thick or too thin, too thick will affect the normal tension of the reel, and too thin will affect the power of the electromagnetic chuck, causing the cable to heat up and even burn the cable.

5. After the installation is completed, the rectifier control cabinet and cable reel should be maintained regularly to check whether the electrical components of the rectifier control cabinet are loose; check whether the elasticity of the cable reel is sufficient. Careful maintenance is the best for lifting electromagnets. protect.

6. When the lifting electromagnet is trying to lift after installation, it is forbidden to stand around the lifting electromagnet after the power is turned on to ensure the normal operation of the lifting electromagnet and the safety of personnel.

7. After the test run, adjust the electromagnetic chuck rectifier controller to adjust the current to the best.

Although it is difficult to install the electromagnetic chuck on a single-beam crane, as long as you follow the method carefully, prepare the personnel and tools, arrange the installation location, connect the cables and debug the rectifier control equipment, you can complete the installation of the electromagnetic chuck.
