The bridge crane changed the mold, which caused the wire rope to slip out of the groove. It was found that the wire ropes on the drum had been misaligned, and the wire rope on the side of the fixed pulley slipped out of the groove into the middle groove. In other words, the two steel wire ropes are inserted into the same pulley groove, so that the hook cannot be raised and lowered. Similar troughs are more common, usually due to non-standard operation of cable-stayed cranes. Under normal circumstances, the wire rope is perpendicular to the drum, and the larger the angle of view, the greater the angle between the wire rope and the drum. When the viewpoint exceeds 30 degrees, the wire rope detachment groove is simply formed.
So what should we do in this case? If it is a small-tonnage, light-weight hook, it can be manually pulled and reset with a rope. If it is a large tonnage hook, it may need to be pulled with a chain hoist. After the wire rope on the fixed pulley is reset, the hook can resume ascending and descending actions. At this time, lower the hook to the ground to relax the wire rope, and then reset the wire rope on the drum.
The reel of the bridge crane is usually a single-layer reel with spiral grooves engraved on the reel. In this way, the contact area between the steel wire rope and the reel can be increased to avoid squeezing and conflict between adjacent steel wires, and then extend the service life of the steel wire rope. In order to avoid the wire rope going out of the groove, it can also be replaced by a deep groove drum, but the pitch of the deep groove drum is larger, so the length of the drum is relatively increased. Finally, it reminds us that in order to extend the service life of the wire rope, it is necessary to operate correctly and maintain it frequently.
