The rubber-tired container gantry crane is a special machine for large-scale specialized container yards, loading and unloading standard containers. It is not only suitable for the yards of container terminals, but also for special container yards.

The container gantry crane is powered by a diesel engine AC generator set, adopts digital frequency conversion speed regulation, and can move in two directions in the container yard. It is equipped with a telescopic spreader that can lift 20-foot and 40-foot containers. The spreader of the container gantry crane mostly uses a fixed guide plate. In order to reduce the swing of the spreader, a mechanical anti-sway device is installed. In order to facilitate the container, a small-angle rotation device for the spreader is installed, and in order to be able to switch the site operation, a right-angle steering mechanism of 00~900 is provided.

In general, the span of the container gantry crane has been standardized to 23.47 meters (six rows plus aisles), and non-standard span container gantry cranes can also be supplied. The lifting height can ensure the lifting of a 40-foot-long 9'6" high container over four (or five to six) layers of stacked containers.

The rubber-tired container gantry crane is supported on large tubeless tires with 4, 8 or 16 wheels. The number of wheels is designed according to the wheel pressure requirements of the site. The trolley travel mechanism can be four-wheel or two-wheel drive. In order to prevent mutual collision between rubber-tired container gantry cranes and between rubber-tired container gantry cranes and containers, a manual correction system and a trolley four-corner anti-collision device are provided.

The trolley running mechanism can be rack-type or double-axis or single-axis drive, and the operation is stable. There is a cab under the trolley frame, and the driver operates the entire crane in the cab.

The rubber-tired container gantry crane adopts an AC or DC speed regulation system, which has good speed regulation and constant power control, and can automatically adjust the lifting speed according to the different weights in the container.
