Requirements for safe operation of crane operators

The crane operator is mainly engaged in ground work, such as preparing spreaders, binding hooks, unhooking and unloading, etc., and in most cases also assumes command tasks. The quality of the work performed by the company has a great relationship with the safety of the entire handling operation. The operating procedures are as follows.

1. Prepare the hook

The weight and center of gravity of the hanging object should be estimated accurately. If it is estimated by visual inspection, it should be increased by 20% to select the hook ;

The spreader must be carefully checked every time it is hoisted. If it is an old sling, it should be degraded and used according to the situation. Never accidentally overload or use a scrapped spreader.

2. Lashing

  • (1) Carry out the necessary regulations, cleaning and inspection of the hanging objects. The hanging objects cannot be squeezed by other objects, and the buried or frozen objects must be dug out completely. Cut off all connections with surrounding pipes and lines to prevent overloading;
  • (2) Remove the floating debris on the surface of the hanging object or in the cavity, and lock or bind the movable parts. Objects of different shapes or sizes shall not be mixed without special binding to prevent falling and hurting people;
  • (3) The burrs on the strapping parts of the hanging objects should be polished and smooth, and sharp edges and corners should be padded to prevent the sling from being damaged after lifting; measures should be taken to prevent the sling from sliding or the hanging object from sliding after lifting;
  • (4) The unstressed rope remaining after binding and hanging should be tightly tied to the hanging object or hook, and no rope hanging rope should be left to prevent people or objects from being hooked during the lifting process:
  • (5) Induction ropes should be added for lifting large and heavy objects. The length of the induction rope should enable the rope operator to hold the rope while avoiding directly under the hanging object so that the rope operator can use it in the event of an accident. The rope controls the hanging objects.

3. Hook lifting

  • (1) The hook should be located directly above the center of gravity of the object to be hoisted, and the oblique hook is not allowed to hang hard to prevent the object from turning over and swinging after lifting;
  • (2) When the hanging object is tall and requires a cushion to climb the hook or hook, the pedal must be firmly cushioned. It is forbidden to use easily rolling objects (such as logs, pipes, rollers, etc.) as pedal cushions. Safety belts must be worn when climbing high to prevent personnel from falling and falling;
  • (3) The hook must adhere to the "five not hanging": overweight or hanging objects whose weight is unknown, the position of the center of gravity is not clear, the sharp corners and slippery workpieces are not hanging without lining, and the spreaders and supporting tools are unqualified. Or scrapped and not hung, the packaging is loose and the binding is not good, etc., to eliminate the hidden danger of insecurity before the hook;
  • (4) When more than one person hangs the same hanging object, one person should be responsible for the command. After confirming that the hanging is complete and all personnel have left standing in a safe position, the hook signal can be sent;
  • (5) When lifting the hook, people on the ground should not stand in the place where the hanging object is overturned or dropped; if the work site is on an inclined surface, they should stand above the inclined surface (not in a dead corner) to prevent the hanging object from continuing to roll along the inclined surface after falling. Move and wound people.

4. Unhook uninstall

  • (1) Before the hanging objects are transported in place, choose the placement position, and do not squeeze electrical lines and other pipelines during unloading, and do not block the passage;
  • (2) For different types of hanging objects, different measures should be taken to support, wedging, cushioning, and placing them in categories. They should not be mixed, squeezed, or placed in the air to prevent the hanging objects from rolling off, falling sideways, and collapsing;
  • (3) When unhooking, wait for all slings to be completely slack before proceeding. Confirm that all slings are unloaded from the hooks before lifting the hooks. Shaking the ropes is not allowed, and the crane is not allowed to pull the ropes.

5. Command of the handling process

  • (1) No matter what kind of command signal is used , it must be standardized, accurate and clear;
  • (2) The position of the commander should be able to observe the work site in a comprehensive way, and be clearly visible to the driver and the driver;
  • (3) During the entire process of the operation (especially when heavy objects are suspended in the air), the commander and the lead worker shall not leave their duties without authorization. They should pay close attention to the hanging objects and surrounding conditions, and promptly issue command signals when problems are found. .

Explosion-proof crane
The crane operator generally needs to cooperate with the crane driver to complete the lifting work of heavy objects. And when the crane is working, pay attention to your own safety.
