Abdullah bin Togh, Member of the UAE Cabinet and Minister of Economy, said in his keynote address at the opening of the Sharjah Investment Forum 2023 that despite recent challenges in the global economy, the UAE remains firmly committed to its economic openness policy and integration into the global trading system . The UAE ranks first in West Asia, the Middle East and North Africa region in terms of FDI inflows.
Abdullah said that in 2022, the UAE's foreign trade will reach a new high of 2.2 trillion dirhams, and non-oil exports will increase by 52% to reach 366 billion dirhams; foreign investment flows will reach 22.5 billion US dollars, ranking 17th in the world. The UAE aims to attract $150 billion in foreign investment by 2031.
