Article 5 of the "Regulations for Periodic Inspection of Lifting Appliances" approved and promulgated by the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine of the People's Republic of China stipulates:

The periodic inspection cycle of in-use hoisting machinery is as follows:

• (1) Tower cranes, hoists, and mobile cranes once a year; among them, tire-type container gantry cranes once every two years.
• (2) Light and small lifting equipment, bridge cranes , gantry cranes, portal cranes, cable cranes, mast cranes, railway cranes, jib cranes, mechanical parking equipment once every two years, in which molten metal and Cranes of hot metal once a year.

Note: The periodical inspection date is calculated based on the inspection qualification date of the major repair inspection for installation and renovation, the first inspection, and the re-inspection after the shutdown. change.

The rated load test, static load test, and dynamic load test items in the performance test must be carried out during the first inspection and the first periodic inspection. The rated load test items shall be carried out at every inspection cycle thereafter.

During the inspection process, for cranes that do have major hidden dangers (such as special operating environment, frequent accidents, etc.), the inspection agency shall report to the provincial quality and technical supervision department for approval, and the periodic inspection period may be appropriately shortened, but the shortest period shall not be less than 6 months.

Periodic inspection of cranes is a guarantee for the safety of enterprises, and enterprises that use cranes must pay attention to it.
