Lubrication maintenance of single beam crane

A single-beam crane main function is to control the friction lubrication, reduce wear, decrease the temperature of the device, to prevent mechanical corrosion, and the like to form a seal. Lubrication is one of the important measures to ensure the normal operation of the machine, extend the life of the parts, improve efficiency and safe production. Maintenance personnel of single-beam cranes should fully understand the importance of equipment lubrication, frequently check the lubrication of each moving point, and regularly add lubricating oil (grease) to each lubricating point.

Bearings, hook pulleys, fixed pulleys and other parts of rolling bearings, gear couplings, brakes and other movable pins of operating systems, reducer gears, wire ropes in the bearing seats of large and small wheels and drums.

Lubrication considerations

  1. Keep the lubricating oil (grease) clean;
  2. Choose suitable lubricating oil (grease) for lubrication according to the specified time;
  3. Adopt pressure grease injection method (use oil gun or oil pump, screw cap oil cup) to add grease, so that the grease can be squeezed onto the friction surface to prevent it from getting into the friction surface when wiping by hand;
  4. For the rotating parts of each mechanism without oil filling points, thin oil pots should be used in the rotating gaps regularly to reduce the friction of the mechanical parts and prevent rust.
  5. The wire rope must be properly lubricated on time, and the old oil should be cleaned with a rag soaked in kerosene before lubrication. It is absolutely forbidden to use metal brushes or other sharp tools to clean the dirt on the steel wire rope, and it is absolutely forbidden to use acid or other strongly corrosive lubricants.

In order to reduce wear, all parts of the single beam crane with shafts and holes and mechanical parts with relative movement friction surfaces must be regularly lubricated. And use qualified grease to lubricate it, so that the machine can run normally and overcome early wear. If unqualified substitutes are used, it will cause mechanical equipment accidents, directly damage equipment parts, and affect safe production. It is not difficult to see that lubrication plays a very important role in the maintenance and maintenance of lifting equipment, and the selection and use of lubricating materials directly affect the lubrication effect.
