Standard Specification for Track Installation of Single Girder Bridge Crane in Industrial Plant

  1.  Check the rails, bolts, splints, etc. before the track is installed. If there are cracks, corrosion or out-of-specification, they should be replaced immediately. For rail surfaces and sides that are allowed to be repaired, rails whose wear defects should not exceed 3mm should be used after repairing.
  2.  The rail shim should be in close contact with the rail and the main beam of the crane. Each shim should not exceed 20 pieces, the length is greater than 100mm, and the width is 10-20mm wider than the bottom of the track. The distance between the two sets of shim blocks should not be greater than 200mm; the shim and steel The main beam of the crane is firmly welded, the actual contact area between the pad iron and the track section is not less than 60% of the nominal contact area, and the local gap is not more than 1mm.
  3.  The rail joint can be made into a direct head or an oblique joint with an angle of 45°. The oblique joint can make the wheel transition smoothly at the joint, and the gap of the joint is generally 1~2mm. When the temperature during construction or installation in cold areas in winter is lower than that used throughout the year, and the difference is more than 20°C, the temperature gap should be considered, generally 4-6mm. The joints of the two rails at the joint should be staggered by more than 500mm.
  4.  A stop baffle is installed at the end of the track to prevent the crane from derailing from both ends. The deviation between the actual centerline of the track and the geometric centerline of the track should not be greater than 3mm. The allowable deviation of the gantry crane gauge is ±5mm; the longitudinal inclination of the track is 1/1500; the allowable deviation of the relative elevation of the two tracks is 10mm.
  5.  Grinding of rail joints
  6. After the rail welded joints have been stress-relieved and cooled to atmospheric temperature, the welds on the top surface and both sides of the rail are smoothed. When the welding protrusion is too large, use a grinding wheel polisher to polish until it is flush with the rail head, and finally polish the surface.
  7.  Treatment of rail joints at expansion joints of workshops

There are usually two types of rail joints at the expansion joints of the factory building: one is connected by splints or fishplates, the rail uses 45° slanted joints, and the gap is 10mm. The other is connected by splicing splints that are processed according to the shape of the rail head, with a gap of 50mm.

The crane rail can be installed by the steel structure manufacturer, or it can be installed by our factory. As long as the installation quality of the rail can be guaranteed, it is feasible.
