Safety Operation Regulations for Crane Commanders

1. The visual acuity of the commander should be above 0.8, no color blindness, hearing can meet the requirements of working conditions, and good health.

2. The commander must strictly implement the GB5082-85 standard, and be accurate when contacting the crane driver.

3. The commander should be familiar with GB6067-85 "Safety Regulations for Lifting Machinery" and LD48-93 "Safety Regulations for Lifting Equipment Spreaders and Rigging".

4. The commander should be familiar with the technical performance of hoisting machinery.

5. Wear labor protection equipment correctly. Overload operation is strictly prohibited, and the rigging spreader should be selected correctly. Understand the safety knowledge of spreaders and rigging, work load, and scrap standards. Be proficient in command signals and abide by the "Ten No Lifting" regulations for cranes .

6. Command gestures , signals, and signs should be used correctly .

7. When starting to command the lifting, the micro-motion signal should be used. When the lifting object is 100-200mm away from the ground, stop the lifting and conduct a test lifting. After confirming that it is safe and reliable, the lifting can be commanded.

8. For rainy and snowy operations, a test hoist should be carried out first to check whether the brake is sensitive and reliable.

9. High-altitude command should strictly abide by the safety regulations for high-altitude operations.

10. The commander should choose a safe and reasonable command position:

10.1 Keep the line of sight with the traffic workers unobstructed;

10.2 Keep the line of sight with hanging objects unobstructed;

10.3 Keep a safe distance from hanging objects;

10.4 When there is an obstacle to the crane driver or the hanging object, stand on the side where the crane driver can be seen, and add an intermediate commander to transmit the signal.

The crane commander must cooperate well with the driver. Follow the operating procedures and complete the lifting operations together safely.
