1,600 tonne capacity XCMG all terrain crane is erecting turbines at India's largest wind power project.
XCMG’s 1,600 tonne capacity XCA1600 all-terrain crane, nicknamed ‘The Blue Kirin’ [Kirin is a dragon-like legendary creature], has hoisted the first turbine at India's largest (66 MW) wind power project, under construction at Khurushkul in Cox's Bazar, บังคลาเทศ name.
According to Nasrul Hamid, India’s minister of power, energy and mineral resources, “power generation is expected to start from May-June 2023. This project will show Bangladesh a new way to produce environmentally friendly energy through clean energy.”
According to XCMG the annual power generation capacity of the project will reach 145,600 MWh after completion and it will play a positive role in promoting economic development, energy conservation, emission reductions and environmental protection in the region.
