Crane steady hook is also called chase hook. The operation method of making the swinging hook stop at the required position or making the lifting object move smoothly with the crane is called stable hook. The method of stabilizing the hook during the practical operation of the bridge crane: when the hook is swung to the maximum extent, but has not yet swing back, follow the car in the direction of the hook swing, so that the hook will be reversed at the moment of swing back. The operation of the crane stabilizing hook is actually that the operating mechanism moves first and then the hook is moved. When the operating mechanism stops, the hook will cross the vertical line of the operating mechanism and continue to move, and the hook will be equal to the momentum of the movement and the reverse pulling force of the wire rope. If the operator does not continue the operation of stabilizing the hook, the hook is subjected to the reverse pulling force of the wire rope and moves back and the hook oscillates back and forth. If the operator operates the operating mechanism at the moment when the hook stops and is in a vertical line with the hook, then the hook will stand still, which is called chase hook or stable hook.
There are eight situations for the stable hook operation , namely:
Beginners should first learn to operate the stable hook in a single direction. For example: when starting a car, especially when suddenly starting and quickly pushing gears, the car body has moved forward for a certain distance S, and the hanging object is connected to the car body by a flexible wire rope, which lags behind the car body by a certain amount due to the inertia of the hanging object. The distance S, so that the hanging object is relatively separated from the original stable equilibrium position OG perpendicular to produce swings. When the weight of the hoisting object is large and the lift is fast, when the hoisting object is lagging behind the car body when starting to drive, turn the handle of the cart or trolley back to the zero position to brake it, and wait for the object to swing forward and pass. When the relative equilibrium position between the hanging object and the car body is perpendicular to OG, immediately start following the car forward. If the timing of following the car is well grasped and the speed is selected appropriately, the car body and the hanging object can be in the position of the OG vertical line without relative movement, that is, running at the same speed, which can eliminate the swing of the hanging object when starting the car.

In general, when the crane hook is shaking, you need to move in the direction of the shaking. For example, when the hook is shaking to the left, you suddenly move to the left when the hook reaches the leftmost shaking limit. After stopping, the hook is basically stable or shakes obviously. Become smaller. This method is used for the horizontal shaking of the crane hook. Shaking up and down basically does not exist, because there is a brake, so it will not float up and down, unless the brake is loose, there will be a slipping hook phenomenon , the solution is to adjust the brake.
