Philippine Ministry of Energy to Release Offshore Wind Power Investment Policy

According to the The Manila Times of the Philippines, on June 6, Lotila, the head of the Philippine Department of Energy (DOE), said that President Marcos issued Executive Order No. 21 on April 19, which plans to build multiple offshore wind power stations in different locations in the Philippines, improving the Philippines' investment attraction in the field of renewable energy. At present, DOE is urgently researching and formulating policies, such as simplifying project permits, upgrading infrastructure (including port support for offshore wind power), etc. According to regulations, DOE should complete the formulation of an efficient development policy for offshore wind power resources within 60 days after the issuance of the administrative order.
