Large bridge cranes and gantry cranes are operated in the cab . At this time, the crane operator may not be able to grasp some of the ground conditions. In order to avoid accidents, in some cases, it is necessary to ring a bell to warn the rear Operable. So when the crane driver encounters what situations should he ring a bell to warn?
The lifting machinery regulations stipulate that the operator must ring a bell to signal when encountering the following six situations:
1. When driving large and small cars;
2. When lifting or dropping heavy objects;
3. When the hanging object is close to the human body, equipment or safe passage;
4. When the light is not good, it is difficult to see clearly, or when passing from a blind angle;
5. When parking;
6. When approaching neighboring cars, especially electromagnetic cranes.
In addition to the above situations, the crane driver should operate according to the command signal of the ground commander
Cooperation between the commander and the driver:
1. When the commander sends out the "preparation" signal, he must visually observe the driver. The driver receives the signal before starting work.
2. When the commander sends out gestures or semaphores of "main hook required", "secondary hook required", "micro-movement range" or semaphores, they must visually observe the driver and at the same time send out a "preparation" sound signal. The driver must be accurate after receiving the signal operate.
3. When the commander sends out the "work end" sign or semaphore, he should look at the driver visually and at the same time send out a "stop" audible signal. After receiving the signal, the driver should answer the "understand" signal before leaving the post.
4. When the commander requires slight movement of the hoisting machinery, the signal can be repeated as needed. The driver should operate the equipment slowly and smoothly according to the signal requirements. In addition, if there is no special requirement (such as special gesture signals for ship cranes), other command signals should be given out at one time by the commander. The driver must operate the equipment according to the original command signal before receiving the next signal.
The crane driver should be proficient in the operating procedures , and if the commander's signal is unclear or the command is illegal, he has the right to disobey.
When crane operators are working, they must always pay attention to safety, and ring a bell to warn when encountering potentially dangerous situations.
